Array ( [sid] => 111797 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Broken [time] => 2005-12-19 23:41:09 [hometext] => This poem is straight from my heart. ^ ^; I really liked how it turned out. I would really appreciate comments...i've just been down in the dump lately! Thank you. [bodytext] => Why am I so broken
And how did you make me this way
I’ve felt like this, ever since
I saw you with her that day

I was so stupid not to notice
But maybe I was just too blind to see
What was right there all along
For, you wanted nothing to do with me

You wanted her, only her
And now my eyes are filled with hate
You ripped my heart up, threw it away
And now there’s nothing left for you to take

You’ve already stripped me everything
And you broken my pride
You left me all alone,
And thought you took away all my places to hide

But you left one place open
And that place is my smile, in which I’m bound
‘Cause I hide behind it all day
And Pray to God I wont be found

Because this smile that I wear
I wear all day long
All because of your heat
For, that is somewhere I don’t belong

Then as soon as I get home
I flash my mom my smile
When I turn, my smile breaks
As I go to my room for a while

No matter how hard I try
I know there will never be a place for me
There’s only one thing that I can do
That’s to watch from afar and dream of you

Why am I so broken
And how did you make me this way
I’ve felt like this, ever since
I saw you with her that day [comments] => 7 [counter] => 287 [topic] => 22 [informant] => misunderstood_gurl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Wow that is awesome, I have a lot of poems about that: broken, hiding behind a smile and hiding. It's weird how it's the same feeling but worded a little bit different but so similer. I think that's amazing. I love it. I love your write.

I'll get Better.

"Then as soon as I get home
I flash my mom my smile
When I turn, my smile breaks
As I go to my room for a while"

Honest and heartbreaking.
Take care and chin up, okay?
