I see into your life
You never shut those shades
Keeping me up all night

I watch as you wake
Stretch your arms
Peel the spread from your face
Yawn from your mouth
You have out-woken the dawn
The dark broken, shines bright
And into your bedroom-
I find my self
Trapped to the ledge
Off the wall that separates
My pillow from yours
My good morning shower
Cold water pours

I see you
And you see me
A logical epiphany
If only the blinds
Were on the other side

I see you arrive
After a long days work
You once caught my eye
Replied with a smirk
You rest on the sofa
Engulfed in a good book
Resembles a Twain classic
I have my own copy
Let me take a look
In doing so
Dare not leave the view
As any second now
He’ll come home to greet you
And as for myself
All I have left, are good books
On my shelf

Ahhh yes...I have been here before. Where you come across someone, or see a person from a distance, and think, could they be the one for me? Even half believing it for a minute, then to discover someone else has already claimed them...lol...C'est la vie, I suppose. I really like the way you told this one...It unfolds well, and I could picture it as I read along.
