Anything you'd like to say?
"Let's wait a while"
"I should have known better"

I saw your boat,
Made up of words
"Is this the way it really should be?"
"The answer's hidden backwards"

Waves of silence in a lonely sea
A never-ending look
Who's fault could it be?
Just keep playing...

I never asked for this
But I knew I wanted it
A sky filled with stars?
A misty lake, moonlit?

Tear through the words,
Rip every letter to pieces
Let it fall upwards
Watch them run down your cheeks

Ah well, who knows?
They might take the clue
I'll wait a while
I might even love you [comments] => 5 [counter] => 520 [topic] => 73 [informant] => speed-of-sound [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )

Spectacular. I love how abstract the whole thing is and how wonderfully lovely it really feels. It brings a smile to my lips.

Was this connected to your writing.Perhaps you felt the response wasn't there and that is why you haven't posted for six months.you are not alone in that feeling.i have been away a while too, Ros

We've all had that feeling before. I may have wrote a poem that kind of refers to this. If you may want to read it, it's called The Chronicles Of The Five Days. Keep up the good work. SLipSiX.

Sometimes people make you wait, for a reason.

Hey, thanks everyone for all the comments!!

To answer your question... it wasn't exactly connected to my writing... although I can see how it could seem that way. It was more a combination of feelings about various things and how what is thought to happen, never really does. Does that make sense? It's mainly about love and impatience I suppose, and travelling too. In fact a few lines are written quite mockingly of love stories in soap operas, etc... this is the reason I posted it under Abstract Poetry... it's the kind of poem that I could have split up into five other poems with seperate topics, but didn't because I almost wanted to reflect how love is never clear and simple..... or something.

The title is also kind of trying to point out that there is no "they" when I say "They might take the clue"......
