A strange new feeling began
the wind was blowing sweet kisses again
Will this all remain,
thought I, or will it be in vain
The spring turned to summer, the feelings grew stronger
and those moments of bliss seemed to be longer..
I was made to feel so wonderful,
there was colour in my cheeks, my hair danced and everything was beautiful
We spent nights laying watching the stars,
put our heads together and looked at the moon and mars
I rest my head upon your chest, listen to your heart beat
a shooting star streaks across the sky, delighted that we meet...
Yet when you are gone, I feel so alone.
the rivers run dry and the stars go home
Nothing fills the void that you leave
my heart lets out a sigh, but i wear it on my sleeve
Music doesn't soothe my soul like your voice
and the way my heart aches, there is no choice
My heart aches to see your smile, yet a photograph doesnt compare
my heart aches, my heart aches, but no one else can tell
You are the cure to my heart ache
my sweet poison, my saving grace
Time drags betweeen our meetings of love
and life seems to hang in its web
I become a different person around you,
but without you id be lost
I love you more than that first moment back in spring
but my heart aches still with mortal longing
You give me a sense of belonging
you were there when the tears came calling
You held me till I felt like smiling
and life came back....it had been hiding
You fight the dark shadows and bring back that spring feeling
silver knighted on a horse, my heart you were stealing...
and if you promise to stay I'll let you steal again and again
At least this way I know that this feeling wont end

dont plan on commenting on all these i read, but sometimes one will get my attention. this one did for a couple of reasons. First let me say I have no desire to hurt your feelings in any way by what i may say. I am just trying to be honest. So having said that let me tell you what I am thinking. I did not expect the sweetness I found in this one. No offense intended Stace, but not used to sweeping vistas of sweetness and loving life in your poetry. And that may be because I have just been reading the wrong ones. I don't know. Some I have read, have been an outgrowth of anger it seems; a lot of anger, and from what i can tell, justifiable anger. Or worse an outgrowth of the very real damage that people near you, that should have known better, decided they wanted to inflict on you for what reason I cannot fathom. Regardless, I think you would agree that some are somewhat dark. So I come to this one and not only do I like the changes in font darkness, makes it very easy to read, but good lord, who is this woman saying these marvelous things and what has she done with Stacie Jane. I am not sure who she is as I read it, but this I can find between the lines and in the words. This is a woman who is loved, may not last forever, no one can say, but she is loved now, and she likes it. And that is enough for now. I felt hope in your words, maybe a little wonder as well...... you already know I like Robert Frosts poetry, Mr Frost would have liked it to.. One of these days your really going to unload on me because of one of these comments but thats okay to. Besides its your fault, you said say what I think, This is what I think ..... Last let me say I hope his shining armor never rusts. bob
