I can be as crazy as you want me to be
I have a confession
I have an addiction

I'm not different from a person in a chase for crack
Or a person who cuts themselves to bleed
Or even a gambler at its worst casino temptation

I have an addiction
Which I must confess
My poetry is my journal
Which cuts it for me the best

Not crack
Not a blade
Not a casino
My pencil and my paper
And my addictive thoughts create my confession

Think of me crazy
Because I can be
Think of me dumb
Because I can be
My addiction cuts me long
Into my world of words and my mazes to feel them
My addiction is no different
I need to write
I need to express
Is my drug
My own
