If I die before I wake
Don't leave my soul it's yours to take
And if I never fall asleep
I think of you, my soul to keep
Remind me how this ends again
Trying to find my last amen
Down will come life, cradle and all
Look to the sky, what’s next to fall?
Ashes to Ashes, they all hit the ground
Embers of love are the truly profound
Preaching to the choir or you’re dieing day
Praying every night keeps the gruesome away
I knew it was imagination, playing games with me
But I let the last illusion, fall away so free
I feel a change in the wind
No matter how vague it may be
Plagued with my faith of creativity
Follow the light, in the darkest of days
Capture my soul, then put in your maze.

From my cradle, to my grave
Inside my cell to many days
I read your book, I say your prayers
Upon the walls, I blankly stare.
If I die before I wake,
Don’t help me live, I’m gone today
And if I never see tomorrow,
Don’t look at me, don’t feel that sorrow,
And if I cry don’t cry with me,
My seldom heart sinks within the sea.
Alone I rest, with you I die,
Thoughtless pain, left deep inside.
Truth is dead, and is confined.
I suffer on through throbbing time.
Darkness is my cloud above,
And sadness is my morning dove.
For songs are sung, and pain is written
One last chance to be forgiven
Suicide, obey the masses.
To reaping stones, and half filled glasses,
My heart explodes, my mind will break,
I just hope it comes, “Before I Wake.”
