Because you didn't accept the way, that I'd prepared your food,
Foul spirit's and grumpiness, for the way I'd ironed your shirt,
Bad temper and drunkeness, you treated me like dirt.

Jealousy of our children, when they took up my time,
You shouted when the washing was still hanging on the line,
Smashing up our home, when you felt great aggresion,
Anger at a dirty plate, you showed so much expression.

I kept our vows of marriage, though you could never be,
My pillar of strength, devoted to his wife and family,
Of your constant criticism, I now endure no strife,
My life was truly blessed - when I stopped being your wife.

Fantastically written with such powerful emotion and energy. The stanzas are wonderful and contain real deep and meaningful spice. Can't wait to read more of your poetry.
