Open the shades of self delusion
Stare into the sun and burn my eyes
Knocking at the door are two things I know so well, pain and misery
Suffering is all that is left that keeps me going
I search for will and strength but find it in agony and devastation
Hopelessness knows many names and has many faces
Sorrow fills the empty spaces in my mind
And the ghosts of my past failures make sure its there to keep my right
Desolation takes the toll of many struggles to break free from this life I lead
But this is my resting place and this is why I bleed
So cut open my chest and remove my heart because I don’t need it anymore

Wake up to be disappointed
Open the shades of self delusion
Stare into the sun and burn my eyes

Holy *****. Your poem kicked my ass. Wow I love every line and every word. I don't understand a few parts, but that is the beauty of poetry: it's yours to understand. A beautiful poem, very sad but that's the best part of it. Keep up the good writings and I'm sorry for your pain. ***** will get better... if you let it.

Great stuff from the opening line "wake up to be dissapointed" - "Cut open my chest remove my heart" wicked style which I luv keep it up
