And i knew not to tell you.
I sit on my bed with tears in my eyes,
It's the middle of the night so no one hears my cries.
I reach under my pillow and pull out the knife.
Its the only way to get rid of this strife.
I run my finger along the blade,
My attempts to be happy begin to fade.
I know that i have only one fate,
Because of all of this anger, all of this hate.
I bring the knife up to my wrists,
This is my last chance for peacefulness.
So after i erase any doubt,
I finally allow myself to let it all out.
I cut and i cut, mutilating my wrist,
I hear myself cry I deserve this!
And i know that its true,
I just wish that you knew.
I know that i dont deserve any good,
I would go die if i thought i could.
All these thoughts cross through my mind,
And as i cut i leave them all behind.
When finally i stop i feel empty inside,
Knowing the knife is the only one in whom i can confide.
So i put it away for later use,
Until the next time i try this self-abuse.
Finally i lay down to go to sleep,
And again i find myself beginning to weep.
I lay there for minutes that fell like hours,
Thinking of all the sadness i had to devour.
But when the tears finally run dry,
I know theres no more reason to cry.
Whats done is done,
And my darker side won.
And as im about to drift into sleep,
I lay there and think about all of my defeat.
How i became when i took up the knife,
My own little sacrifice.

I don't know what you've been through and lots of people have gone through difficult times but this is the most beautiful way of showing the pain ... the emptyness in one's soul. It's the most beautiful poem i ever read that treated this subject. This brought back some memories but i'm happy that it did 'couse it's not somethig to forget(at least not to me).
