Desperately, I search for a way to appease it.
I fear letting it get away from me.
It always knows the identity of it's antagonist,
but when faced with the actual confrontation,
it always backs away.
So it turns to face me, and now it has changed
from anger into rage.
Then, with a newly found strength and force,
it violently slams back into me.
Somehow then, I must find a way to accept
the belief that it was me that did something
wrong.

and admitting that we are wrong is always the hardest thing to do. it always seems easier to assume that the other person needs to be blamed. Great write... with my awful Irish temper I can easily identify with it!!!

Your understanding of anger is exceptional.
It's not always your fault.
Anger pointed at yourself in short bursts is ok, prolonged exposure can cause those little teeth on the cogs in your head to get hot and fall off.
If it's theirs let em have it!
Loved this great write

Addmitting there is something wrong is a great step to making a change. Good writing
