[hometext] => Wrote this on a napkin while flying on an American Airlines flight the day after thanksgiving from dallas texas to columbus ohio. this is the first poem i have ever really written spontaneosly.
[bodytext] => Everytime I get back to see her face it takes me to another time and place-about three years ago She's still young, but younger then- her smiling dimples and baby chin. God it hurts me to let her go. Back when Papa was still alive. Back when I first learned how to drive. Back then life was so slow. Now my life it seems so fast. There is a war- I think it'll last- till she's 20 Years old... Baby sister... Don't let me go. Was able to sneak in on thanksgiving day. My commander sent me on my way. Now I just wish that I could stay for at least one more day or so. Oh my just to see her face she's all grown up and I feel so out of place. Am I just getting old? Baby sister...Don't let me go.
