[time] => 2005-11-28 19:24:39 [hometext] => I wrote this for my grandmother who passed away may 1st 3 days before my birthday. I will always love you! [bodytext] => The season calls for colored lights and candy canes but one thing stays the same, she passed away and that cant be changed.
Theres no amount of silver bells that can turn these silent nights back to a white christmas.
I can roast chestnuts on an open fire till im away in a manger but now im only a stranger to a holly jolly christmas.
Still im going to walk alone through decked halls and mistel toes because theres no winter wonderland in my land of misfit toys.
You can call me a scrooge for i am already haunted by my christmas ghosts past, present, and future.
So let it snow on all 12 days because only a miracle on 34th st. can give me the gift i want.
While I stumble blurry eyed through the snow, filled with egg nog i will scream one wish to a shooting star as it catches my eye.
My wish is screamed so loud that the star stood still and my words were etched in the cold of my breath.
THE ONLY THING I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS.... is my grandmother!
