Of horrid tormenting fate,
The girl lost from gazing sight:
Mercy to pain and hate.

Broken inside she lays still
While the frightening battle ensues.
Lost in her own memories,
In nightmares holding their grip.
And from sanity's solid ledge,
She slowly slips.

With tear stained cheeks,
And wispy hair destroyed;
With cracked lips,
And blood stained tears,
She slowly drowns through—
Lost to painful fears.

As blood run down.
Ripple out –encircling.
She slips away.
Spreading wings to fly,
The darkness journeys through air,
As light leaves her darkened eyes;

She cries in silent despair.

Her soul you see?
It is lost among pain and fear.
For no one can reach her,
Through her shimmering tears.

All but one, perhaps,
A truly shinning soul.
But where to find such a knight,
Who would be so bold?

And where to look, this knight?
For he shall surely seek
The obvious damsel in his sight,
And to Annabel, shall never speak.

For, Annabel is her name,
Though lost to her ears.
For she is used without being named,
Going on for years and years

So when shall fate intervene?
And save this poor lost child?
When shall light save this teen?
And protect her from the wild?

nice one! can totally relate... except im a guy not a girl..
If you are going towards the rhyming way.. work harder, but if you are an abstract poet, it is an excellent work! keep it up, i await the third installment

I enjoyed it, though some of the rhymes did seem forced. it would just sit down and try to change the rhyme a little more to make it fit. I have had to do that many a time. Keep writing
