from papercuts and razorblades- proudly signing their demands
in blood from veins and lust of bones, a selfish right
the temptation of greed, what a pitiful sight

to touch the evil in all of our souls
relieve yourself of dreams or goals
dance with fire, spark the match
light the scenery, open the hatch

dive into the thoughts of a losing faith but never retreat
money is life, and that life is a sinful deciet
only pay face value for the goods of this land
walk side by side with the devil, touch his hand

this face is carved into something great, something beautiful
by the condemned in their private hell, working so dutiful
never stopping because of the papercuts and razorblades
only hoping for an eternity where the fire and flame all fades

maimed by liars and thieves and the insane
so afraid of going out, and getting caught in the rain
its never been easy, but its not really that hard
believe that this lifetime will luckily pull your love card

and take you away from this cage, never look back
forever in hiding and poised for attack
guilty as sin, false freedom galore
you are the holder of the key that opens the forbidden door

a sickness of the mind, a virus that escaped
unable to protect yourself from the hiddeously raped
covered head to toe in papercuts and razorblades, a deadly finale
this is your coffin, your tombstone... this creepy dark alley

pray to your heavens and shun going back to hell
your knees are still bloody from back when you fell
out of grace and out of life, a stupid mistake
all of this pain and vanity, a form of heartbreak.

Sheesh, Lindsay.

I've missed your poems. It's so nice to see you posting again.

You words are always so real, so raw and are so emotional. I love them.

I think the start was more powerful than the end, though, I especially love the first stanza.

*hugs*
