Money can't buy the new red bracelets I got today.
It was a painful bargain though.
But, at the same price, I felt nothing.
See, first you find a reasonable excuse to be angery at yourself,
Then you get to pick how to make them, either razor or knife.
I perfer the razor, it makes a cleaner cut.
I have a lot of red bracelets.
Some deep red, some so old they've faded.
My bracelets tell a story, but at a feeling's price.
Pain is just part of the physical process.
It is the emotional part that counts anyway.
"Why do you get red bracelets?" typical people ask.
I answer, "it doesn't come in any other color."

Confronting and creative -I don't recall having seen self-mutilation (cutting) presented as a bloody adornment or as a fashion accessory for the suicidal. And well done - the last line was particularly good (but check your spelling).
