This Used To Be My Life

Contributed by xXx_lil_pyro_xXx on Sunday, 27th November 2005 @ 03:20:10 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

That used to be the blacktop,
That I played on every day.
That used to be the corner,
Of the block on which I'd always stay.

That used to be my desk.
Fourth back, third to the right.
I still remember the phone numbers,
Of the friends I'd call each night.

I remember the weight I felt on my chest,
As soon as I walked through the door.
I remember when my first thought in the morning would be:
"I just can't take it anymore!"

That used to be the bathroom stall
That I would cut in twice a week.
As well as the same place,
Where I would purge all that I'd eat.

It amazes me that I put mysef
Through so much misery and strife.
But it's better now that i can say:
"That USED TO BE my life".
