No Need To Ponder

Contributed by sararose1950 on Sunday, 27th November 2005 @ 01:33:16 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Love is like a flow of light-
a gentle bond,loose,yet tight.
The story of love is a hard one to tell.
a long road to travel,I know this too well...

I loved a man once, for almost twenty years,
a gentle sweet soul, loved by his peers
His voice never to me was raised,
his words always gentle, filled with praise.

Once more we love, there is no end.
The journey always begins again.
We meet yet another mirror of our soul,
one who completes us,takes aways the cold.

No need to ponder why and how,
real love cannot hurt, live it now.
Embrace joy in finding the missing part-
the right ones never pierce the heart.

Instead they heal, all that is broken,
a mystical knowing,words unspoken.
Like whisps of smoke entwined,
love will always seek like-kind.

Love is like a flow of light-
a gentle bond,loose,yet tight.
The story of love is a hard one to tell.
A long road to travel,I know this too well...

Nice flow of words cleverly woven together .
Love is a hard thing to quantify sometimes, it can be different for us all.
I liked the way you captured it in your work

I guess I've never experienced love then...cause it always hurts me...lol...I'd love to find some of the beautiful emotions you've written of here. Nice poem. I like the way you started and ended it with the same stanza, it added to the message.

20 years later you wake up and say "you still here?" Something is working for you lol.....enjoy it! Love, in whatever form, is a gift best shared Sometimes, it's a grab bag. Throw away the wraping paper and look inside....... never know, we may get lucky =)

Well said
