In your eyes I see innocence and trust
I see a light that splits into a million beams
And splashes like the sun on the ocean's waves
Depths of love and emotion lurk there
When you smile it truly lights up a room
I want to hold you , love you and protect you
To never have to see hurt or sadness reflected there
When you close your eyes to embrace slumber
I see serenity, calmness and a sweetness unmatched
Would that I could hold one moment in my heart forever
It would be this moment of seeing my love for you
Now reflected back from your eyes to my heart.

In Your Eyes

In your eyes I see innocence and trust
I see a light that splits into a million beams

What is more precious than your child.
NOTHING.
May he peace of Jesus surround you and yours every day.

I have truly enjoyed your writes and will read "My Lunch Box" before I go on to someone elses poetry.
