while resting at the end of it.
Some paths, I see, could lead to ruin:
those paths too, I tread a bit.

I marvel that I survived it through,
the recklessness of my youth.
Could there have been Angellic aid:
shall I someday know the truth?

I held no fear of God or man,
the grim reaper looked my way.
Pursuit of pleasure; my whole desire,
living for myself night and day.

Do most men long for another try,
at living their life aright?
Is any man truly satisfied,
with a conscience not contrite?

Lately, I recall my past the more,
puzzled at the sum of it.
Blessed and preserved through it all,
yet, melancholy concerning the judgment.

I have no complaint for my maker,
should the penalty not fall on him.
Christ earned the Royal prerogative,
to forgive, or to condemn.

Lionel

These beautiful lines encompass the musings of most souls that feel their inadequacies and shoirtcomings. .
And this is quite alright! We are all inadequate.
But Christ will wash white as snow what was stained and scarlet red.
We only got to trust Him.and cling to Him, regardless of our imperfections.
Be blessed Lionel
Elizabeth

Do you know, a lot of us have walked those twisty roads, took many detours and most are blessed when they find the road, straight and narrow. Your angels were watching and took care of you, they are from the loving God. Keep the faith because one day you are going to feel and see the greatest reward ever, if you trust, believe, you will be forgiven. To love is to grow, to grow means you take life as it comes, be joyful and even when you thought you failed, you keep on going, failure is completely giving up.. Regrets...experienced, pray, the Lord knows you are sorry, you just get closer to Him.
Walk sure-footedly and if you should stumble your angels hands will pick you up and set you in the arms of our Lord. Thank you for your words of wise written wisdom to share us all, so that we may be reminded to stay on the path of the righteous. Raquel Leah
