Of saying that it’s sad
Just thinking about the past
Or what you could have had
What your heart knows is truth
The only thing you can trust
To be there when you’re doing well
Or to knock you to the dust
Your heart knows what it wants
But that doesn’t matter at all
When you think it’s going great
You’ll just hit another wall
And when you do it’ll seem
Like that was the worst
Worst than it ever could be
Worse than even the first
Everyone has at least one
One time where you get let down
Life turns over itself
And your smiles turn to frowns
Why can’t you find it?
When you know you are ready
Life’s moving along nicely
Your heart and soul are steady
All of a sudden, it breaks
That is your heart and soul
And all you feel like doing
Is climbing into a hole
You ask yourself questions
Like what am I doing wrong?
It’s been awhile since love
When it hasn’t been that long
Your heart begins to change
As does the meaning of want
The future seems quite distant
And the past just seems to haunt
There is always another day
Even though that’s not the way you feel
So shut up, stop worrying
And start learning how to deal
