It was a early day to rise
It's been sometime since
I've rose refreshed
The house Of course was
Silent

Just Mom and Me
With Five pesky katts
And Howie the dog
times three

I wanted to plant the
Winter flowers
Tulips all in a row .

I put My Mothers shoes On.
It came so
natural .

I planted and remembered
I dreamt she came to me
and said Hello .

It's been now Three years
And still lt tears me so .
For again I was the last one to know .

I didn't get to say Good-bye.
Sadly I was away on
A Daughter
Mother
Holiday .

Remember Just after Thanksgiving
You all had snow
I remember us laughing at post cards
that said "WISH YOU WERE HERE"

Then came the call
It all melted like ice .

Another death
A Passing
And I was away.

Rushed on home
I Remember
And I heard it's all true
David, BINGO and You

On that last day
Mom did what she wanted .
She Sat in the Sun and Played Bingo
And Had all of the last supper .

And David tucked her
in .
As he bent to kiss your fore head
As he'd Usually done.
He asked questioningly
"See you Sunday ?
Mom ? "

A weak, tender,
horse voice cracked back
"I... Love ...you . All ."
He kissed her again
And turned out the light.

I put my Mothers shoes on today
Three years have passed
It will seem like yesterday
with each passing year.

I will never forget
That snow white hair
Such soft white skin
A smile or a frown
she'd always wear.

The shoes helped me plant
The colored Tulip bulbs .
In Remembrance of Her.
And as I stood up
to admire our work .
I felt Her tender hand
rest on my shoulder .

And I heard A Gentle Whisper
spoken just above
the cool November Breeze

" I don"t Hurt any More. "

Memories--such sweet memories!!! I lost my brother on November 16th also--many years ago. I'm just glad that the last time I saw him--we started out fighting as usual--but something stopped me and I asked him if we could quit fighting. We parted as friends and by the time I got home the next day--he was dead.

I can only say--I understand the memories. My poem is "In memory of Frank"

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhow very touching dear!!!!I still have goosebumps from your wondrous write.......Whisper I shall never forget this poem. And the title fit so well, to be able to walk in your Momma's shoes..........She will always be in your heart dear whisper and just as close to you and as wish. In your dreams, and many thoughts, and even without you realizing it, in everything she taught you so well, that it just comes naturally to you..........Mom's are never far away......they dwell in our lives forever.
I'm so very sorry, but your poem was so beautiful..........I can tell she was too!
Warm love
