And the only thing that mattered was "Growin up"
But now that your an adult
All you want to be is little
A life where you get no insults
No working your life away
No insurance just insured by "Mommies love"
Times were good
And couldnt't have been better
Playing with barbies and G.I joes
Spinning around and where you stop nobody knows
Fingerpainting
And dressing up
And your biggest worry was "Mommy I lost my toy"
Now your worries are "I lost my heart to a boy"
Times change
And sometmes I wishthey hadn't
Because when I was little
Everything was perfect
And I didnt know what I know now
I didn't know that "Mommy and daddy" argued
And I didnt care about money
Because everything was provided
I didnt know my family was once divided
I just thought I had two homes
And thats how it was
Why do you have to grow up
Things used to be so simple
All I cared about was sittin on the couch with my family eating skittles
Skipping rocks and watching the water ripple
Telling riddles
Like hey diddle diddle
Or playing monkey in the middle (I was always the monkey)
And all the dreams I thought I would fuffill
Damn I miss being little
