High above the dotted illuminated
Street Lamps that line the city blocks.
It is a Peaceful night
Of slumbered dreams.

Dreams and desires
From deep within
Come comforting your melancholy soul .
Where time, and weather
matter not And you are in control .
To call forth both past and present
Happiness
Joy or Bliss

Remembered mystical visions
Awakening those feelings inside
Imigine yourself there
Gently kneeling, kissing
and Caressing

Only to open your eyes to empty air
Alone so totally Alone
Having no one there .

Sadly and disappointed
Rolling back over ,
pulling the covers tight around
Trying to call back the dream
that seemed so real .

It's the same everynight. I dream such magical dreams until I open my eyes and realize it's all but a dream. I know this feeling oh so well. You close ur eyes and try to relive the dream again.
A fantastic write. Captivating from start to finish. So many of us out there can relate to ur poem. Well done on producing a wonderful write.
*hugs*

...why did you have to write this so nicely...it was too easy climbing into it with my p.j.'s on, pulling the down comforter over my head...waking up can be such a b....!

...very disappointing...but, then, that means your poem was very successful!

...thanks for creating it...
