Array ( [sid] => 10968 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => °°°A Moment in Time°°° [time] => 2003-01-22 20:20:00 [hometext] => Not much to say here..I met my biological father when i was young..i was adopted when i was little...and the man i always called my dad passed away when i was 9...I've respected my biological father's wishes all these years...and i will not break what he asked me to do no matter what i want or what i need....and even tho he will never in his life see this poem, or know how i feel....i just want to say i love you... [bodytext] => I met you and held your hand so big and strong
You said that you loved me and sang me a song
You talked of the children you always make laugh
And you said i was pretty right before you left

You wanted us back as you held my mom's hand
But she said no because of your gold wedding band
You already had a wife waiting for you
So she sent you back home, this made me blue

You asked me to come spend the summer with you
I said yes but that i was still going through school
You waited for summer and then called me back
I said yes i am ready but one thing i ask...

I am pregnant with child are you happy for me?
That's when you showed you very true self to me
You sat in silence for a small little while..
And when you finished speaking i no longer smiled..

You then said that i was not welcome with you
You said never speak to you and stay away too
I never did go, i respected your wish
I've obeyed you father, but you i have missed...

I wonder if you ever think of me....

This is a very emotional write. I hope you can meet up one day with your father to let him know how you feel. I am sure he is watching over you right at this very minute my friend. I enjoy reading your poetry. *S* Cynthia

Great write!! I could feel your pain in this poem. Very emotional and beautifully written. I hope you have your moment in time to see his face and ask the questions that must linger in your soul. I am sure he still thinks of you plenty. We only live this life once, I hope you get to put this situation to rest before it ends. Did you ever think of sending this poem to him?? He asked you never to speak to him, or see him again. You can still honor his wishes by sending him this. Sometimes we do not understand how our words destroy people., and need to be reminded... You never know, maybe he would love to speak to you again & apoligize, but he has his fears on doing so. Maybe his fear of being rejected is stopping him from doing just that. Sometimes even when we know the other is in the wrong the best thing to do is to confront the situation. Place your fears aside, and lay all your feelings on the table.
I wish you all the best ~ truly love reading your words. You have a great talent!! One that touches my heart!!
~Take care~
