Array ( [sid] => 10964 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Unless [time] => 2003-01-22 19:00:00 [hometext] => I wrote this a long time ago to my bestest friend in the world. I was going through a rough period of depression and thought I was utterly alone. But from my position, huddled in a corner, I looked out in to the darkness and realized I was wrong. I saw Jen reaching out for me... Thank you, Jen! I love you! [bodytext] => No one could ever understand how I feel,
Unless they experience it as me.
No one can say that they can relate,
Unless, through my eyes, they can see.

No one can see the struggle I face every day,
Unless they are right beside me.
No one can see these tears on my face,
Unless, behind the mask, they can see.

No one could ever taste the fear like I have,
Unless they are there to protect me.
No one can ever see through to my darkness,
Unless, over my wall, they can see.

No one ever saw the razor at my wrist,
Unless they were there to stop me.
No one can ever be there like you have,
Unless, through you, they can see.

No one can ever understand why I stopped,
Unless they know what you’ve told me.
No one can open my eyes like you have,
The true meaning to life, I can see.

No one could ever understand how I feel,
Unless they experience it as me.
And no one will ever compare,
‘Cause only you have ventured to see.

For this, I thank you;
For being that “no one” who can.
And also, I thank you,
With you, I understand…
