For much of first grade, I was entranced;
Enraptured by my very own little romance;
Yet as I reminisce, and call it all back,
I can but try and puzzle out what we both lacked.

I remember you always beat me soundly
In all our many games of Yahtzee;

I remember holding you oh so tenderly;
(While we played Humpty Dumpty);

I remember running off with you
And telling no-one where we’d been;

I remember our hot and sweaty nights
(While we played on your old jungle gym);

I remember your hair mixed with mine
As we made snow angels in the grass

I thought you’d be happy when I popped the question
But instead, you said, “I hoped you’d never ask”.

So now, another question has its debut;
Before you left, you never told me adieu;
But seeing as how I have not yet forgotten you;
Can you say that you remember me too? [comments] => 2 [counter] => 214 [topic] => 75 [informant] => ChibiMiroku [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )

Vincent such beautiful memories, yet such a sad ending. It's evident that you still have feelings for this girl. Your poem speaks from the heart. An outstanding heartfelt write. Always a treasured experience to read such remarkable work by a very talented poet.
Who knows what the future brings and what paths we end up taking.
*hugs for you my friend*
