Of a deathly fog on the verge of siege.
This waterfall so void of sound,
With a wind gone all too subtle.
A fear of shadows, depth and dark,
Inundated throughout the mind.
A whisper lurking like a tiger,
Weaving patterns in and out.
Her thoughts reaching through the forest,
Caught in vines, mangled beyond repair.
Her heart is dancing, walking, stumbling,
Being lacerated by stealthy twigs,
Ripped by streaks of ivy,
Divided by the hopelessness of death.
Her eyes soar up and over,
Devoured by the eagles of old,
Able to see naught, but feeling hope,
Though the suns golden rays reach her no longer.
Her ears pick up no sound,
For that deathly fog still lays in waiting,
Ready to pounce the moment she gives in,
And yet this woman, cripple deaf and dumb,
Lives on, grasping the strings of life with the hands of trust,
Defying the fatal fog, denying the Forest another claim,
All on the mere limb of a promise made to her,
By a soul, whose name is not known. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 570 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Live2Die [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
