I feel like I've hurt you
me, writing these cold words
about the way I thought you felt
and I was wrong
incorrect so I am sorry
Apologizing to myself
for these words you've never read
never will, my secret
kept from you
now and forever
And yet I feel, deep inside
that I betrayed you
didn't trust you
insulted you
inaccurately accused
Sorry, so sorry
for my nightmares
things you could do
when they aren't even for me to decide
Your thoughts, your own
My words, my secret
