Array ( [sid] => 109240 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => I Said Goodbye Today [time] => 2005-11-07 15:18:24 [hometext] => This goes to my 'Rock Ranger', my best friend. [bodytext] => Born the same day, month, and year, minutes apart
We knew not of eachother at the start
We met through a neighbor
After that we were always together

Like twins seperated at birth,we made up for lost time
I made you have tea-time, you taught me to climb
Nothing could stop us,we tore up the town
Then, we had a fight,I let you down

I can't believe what I said, What a tragic day
You looked at me with shock and dismay
My words tore out your heart
We were wedged apart

You wanted an apology,
I wanted some time
You said time was up
I said goodbye today

***We met at a young age and parted ways the summer we turned 15. A tough age for a girl and boy to struggle through the trials of life and still remain only best friends. During our fight, I said something terrible to him.By the time I realized it that night, tragedy struck in his family.He's always blamed me for it, even after hearing my side, and I agreed he's right. It's been alot of very long years since we parted but he is still very much a big part of who and what I am today. ***

~*~On the upside,I did get the chance to visit and share this with him. We've talked in great length. To you my dear, I Thank You for this chance to become your best friend again..Love ya Buddy!~*~ [comments] => 3 [counter] => 206 [topic] => 16 [informant] => memories_mist [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FriendshipPoetry )

I'm glad to see you had the chance to get together again. True friends are hard to find but are worth the effort.
