Enjoy, and please comment (or rate, or whatever this site does. I'm new here) [bodytext] => Can you hear the earth crying?
Crying for what it has lost
Can you hear the creatures' battle cries
To win at any cost

Can you hear the bitter melody?
Lament of a magic forgotten by man
Can you hear the cry of death?
The bullet shot from mankinds' hand

Can you hear their screams?
As they fall to human guns...
Can you hear the mother wolf weeping?
Mourning her sons

Can you hear the sounds of battle?
The clashing clink of swords
Can you hear man fight man?
As they stupidly wage war

Can you see the fire burning?
On the torches, in their eyes
Can you see the hatred growing?
Each time a creature dies

Can you see the dying forest?
The trees which once stood tall
Can you see where you've gone wrong?
For wealth man killed it all

Can you see the world fall apart?
Being ripped at the faulty seams
Can you see the illusion crumble?
As you count your broken dreams

Can you see a brighter future?
Can you sew this world together?
Can you feel the peace restored?
Let's keep that peace forever [comments] => 6 [counter] => 306 [topic] => 6 [informant] => wolfgirl211 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 12 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

Yes I can. The world is in trouble and it is each indevidual's responsability to do what we can to effect a posative change. This is a brilliant poem, well written with good rhythm and rhyme. Well done.
