nothing to see, not a person in sight.
Shadows whisper softly to me,
shadows of people I can barely see.

I run for my life from these ghostly sounds,
hoping the sound will drown from soles meeting ground.
Sense failing as my mind races on,
running from something that is already gone.

My eyes glaze over, but I'm still running forth,
these voices I'm hearing feel no remorse.
"Keep on going" my mind tells me so,
Even though the voices are low.

Legs tiring as I sprint through the door,
laying lifeless, half dead on the floor.
Voices now screaming, making me stress,
voices now screaming a little less.

Body vibrating as I crawl into bed,
now wishing I was more than almost half dead.
Another nightmare, another dream,
reality is worthless, or so it may seem.
