Whether or not life is worth living
Should she put all of the lies on the shelf
And keep on forgiving
She loves him so much
But as if he cares
He's alwas leaving her in a clutch
And she is so tired of unanswered prayers
The last time he hit her
He swore it to never happen again
But with a heart so bitter
She feels ready to take it to the chin
Defeated once more
Lie after lie
So afraid to walk out that door
Because shes never been good at saying good-bye
He sleeps in her bed
And he eats her food
With this being said
I must include
That she loves out of fear
Because thats all shes ever known
And the results are severe
Because she cannot hold her own
Stuck in loves black hole
Without a rescue
Having no control
And not deserving what shes going through

i too was in an abusive relationship, and i felt this poem in my very soul. nobody deserves this treatment, and it took me a long time to realize that. i have alot of problems, and i just figured that i was getting what i deserved because i am such a screwed up human being. but, like i said, no one deserves to be treated that way. horribly sad, yet wonderful poem
