Array ( [sid] => 108994 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A New Story [time] => 2005-11-03 11:28:18 [hometext] => this poem shows how close I was to the end. The last part of the poem is when I become a new person and “tell a new story”. The sun is to signify it warming up the coldness in my life that I used to have and becoming a happier, healthier person. [bodytext] => A New Story

It is so hard to step out
From the demons who have a hold
There is so much I doubt
As I sit by myself in the cold

Almost taken from this life
By my own demons
But really it is I with the knife
It is I who is screaming

But cracks from clouds reveal
The sun in all its glory
The feelings it brings are unreal
To this girl who’ll tell a new story

A New Story

It is so hard to step out
From the demons who have a hold
There is so much I doubt
As I sit by myself in the cold

Almost taken from this life
By my own demons
But really it is I with the knife
It is I who is screaming

But cracks from clouds reveal
The sun in all its glory
The feelings it brings are unreal
To this girl who’ll tell a new story
