Array ( [sid] => 108990 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Mother Child [time] => 2005-11-03 09:29:56 [hometext] => ...a child dies...I was a young teenager having tests done in a huge urban hospital...a very young terrified mother holding a convulsing toddler ran up to me...our eyes locked...I cannot recall a more electrifying series of moments in my life... [bodytext] => Mother, Child

Oh,
for a tear,
for a whimper;
none came...

Oh,
for a twitch,
a breath;
there was none...

Just for a sigh,
a movement,
Oh!
God!
Please!
Anything,
anything...
Please,
God!
anything...

Tears fall hard for one:
alone,
weeping,
without.
Within a looming metropolis
she bleeds alone.

The child's body
lies limp, cool and still,
but,
her memory burns,
within a mother's heart.

I agree with Moon_light its very touching a true nightmare. Being a mother hoping that no parent should go through the death of a child but sadly the world it doesn't work that way.

A sad, emotional and heart breaking write. You brought tears to my eyes with this poem of yours. As a parent myself I don't wish this sort of pain on anybody not even my worst enemy. Thanks for sharing this write with us.
*heartfelt hugs*
