My angels implore me to restore my will, my demons to restore my will to kill
One day more living in the Socratic shadows, with the sun to my back shedding orange light
Warming my darker side and forlorn I tear into my life and lie to my self
And anyone else
That redemption is mine and that seraphim fly this night to take up the fight this night
And that anyone can be free in this Godly realm, and that your God will shed the light of redemption
And blister the light of the sun down on me

Gabriel, Gabriel take up your sword, the sunlight fades
Look to the West and see the dying day
Gabriel, Gabriel take up your sword; rekindle the sun, rekindle the sun
Angels fly, but they fly not for me, if they fly for anyone

Fading sunlight wisps from the west, from the realm I know best, this realm of shadows
Shadows playing upon the prison walls, inscribed, contrived by God and his son
Left alone, the lonely one

Patterns play and pay the price, melt the stone, hard like ice
Just as I fall into secret slumber, met by Gabriel and his number
One more time to battle truth, the light of the sun burns
The memory of you
