Array ( [sid] => 10891 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Rupture [time] => 2003-01-21 21:20:00 [hometext] => This is an old set of song lyrics that come from a song called Rupture that i wrote with my first band Samsara. [bodytext] => Forced to stumble over unseen monologues,

In a tunnel moist with perspiration.

Dark, dank and inhospitable,

Struggling towards the light

This light's still out of reach

Floating in this amniotic sea,

A brief psychosis passes over.

I tear at my surroundings,

The light grows brighter still.

My retinas develop quickly,

As my world contracts and I'm crushed.

I lash out at my atmosphere,

The light envelops me.

In this place I've incubated for too long

I remove every cell and every tissue

I destroy my memories of this environment

I convulse and shun this cord that restricts me

I can't stand this

I didn't want this

I can't stand this

I didn't want this

In this place I've incubated for too long

I remove every cell and every tissue

I destroy my memories of this environment

I convulse and shun this cord that restricts me

Drowning in this anguish I contradict myself,

I rip my own flesh as I spin,

Biting the boundaries that conceal me

Images of hatred shoot through this womb

I tremble and shake for one final time,

And stare at the passage behind me.

This torment is finally through

The light disappears from view.
