Array ( [sid] => 10879 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => I wonder why [time] => 2003-01-21 17:20:00 [hometext] => Its how I feel for the past couple of weeks. It's not good, doesn't even rhyme. [bodytext] => Sometimes I wonder why I do the things I do.
Is it to please myself or to please others?
My life's a mess right now, I feel so alone.
Theres no reason, no motivation on my part.
Robotic movements my life as become.
So empty, void of all emotions.

Looking down a deep dark well, nothing to see but darkness, soothing this darkness is.
Deep it goes, never ending.
As I slip into this vast empty pit, a coccoon it is, for what its worth, I feel safe here.

When deep inside , as I look up ,I see life, clouds passing by, I hear birds chirping.
Its so beautiful. The sun desperatly tries to reach me with its splendid rays, not quite reaching me, I guess I could try to help myself and reach for the warmth, but no energy to even do that.
So I sit in my dark comfortable coccoon and watch as life passes me by.
And wonder why I do the things I do. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 351 [topic] => 43 [informant] => jackee_line [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Been there, lived it, way back when my, then fiancee broke it off.
Two years before I came out of it but not before I climbed out of the well myself.
I've now been married to my salvation for almosr fifty years.
Well written, right on the button, made me shudder to release myself from the memory.

First of all, some of the best poems don't rhyme.
I like this alot, it seemed to just flow out of you.
You should actually do more like this!

“ . . . So I sit in my dark comfortable cocoon and watch as life passes me by.
And wonder why I do the things I do.”

Come on Jackee, think about it; there’s only one reason to sit in a dark, comfortable cocoon for any length of time. You’re waiting! Waiting for God to finish His handiwork. You are not being punished . . . you are being rewarded. God goes to great pains to create some of His most gorgeous creatures from the darkness of the cocoon . . . His stunning butterflies. How lucky are they whom He has chosen to present to the world as a gift of beauty for the eyes; and, you thought life was passing you by? Be thankful. A butterfly’s only duties are to be beautiful while spreading more beauty in the world by touching each flower with her pollinating kiss of life. Beauty begets Beauty.

Very nice words, all aligned to create this one thought on the birth of a butterfly.

Cheers
John
