never have handled the
things you would have thrown at me.
I'd be forced everyday, to receive
a constant reminder of my past. I
continuously wonder...
Who you would have been.
What you have done.
But how could I be expected
to live with the hatred you would
have embodied. What if you
grew up to be like him?
I was so young, immature.
A mess, I still am, but, you deserved
better, more than I could have given you.
I've made so many mistakes in my
life, I can't even begin to count,
I never realized letting you go
would be one of them. I never
could have been what you needed,
my greatest fear, was that I wouldn't
be able to protect you, from the
horrible things I couldn't even protect
myself from. I still regret my decision,
you'll never have the chance to
comprehend why I did, what I did.
I'm sorry I couldn't have been stronger,
and do the right thing, just so overwhelmed,
I did what I thought would be best,
and turned out to be wrong.
I just didn't know,
how I'd react to you,
to what you were part of,
who you were part of,
who you represented.
I wasn't sure I'd be able
to love you.
Or protect you from the world
that has consumed me.
I was so scared,
I'd grow to hate you,
that you'd hate me,
you deserved better,
I'm sorry I couldn't
give it to you. I'm back…

…your poetic expression was wonderful…absolutely wonderful…make that Beautiful…absolutely Beautiful…actually, the best I've read in the two weeks I've been with the group…I really wish it hadn't been corrected for spelling, though…it would have been more authentic with your own spelling…the real you is perfect and if that ain't good enough for somebody, then that somebody has a problem, not you…

…if you can figure out how to e-mail the poem with the original spellings, I would be tickled…

…you sound like a person who has a great Love potential…a lesson I've learned the very, very, very, very, very, very, very hard way, is, Love your "Self" Unconditionally, regardless of failures or successes…use God as your example…not the "religious" God…the True God…the One Who's name is Love…

…well, bless you, and bless your child and future children…
