Now’s the time when I’d need to write something,
To get rid of my unwanted emotions,
But it won’t come to me, it’s enraging,
So I grab my knife, the best of solutions,
The blood stained one, that I’ve been sharpening...

And now I let the blood flow down my arm,
Like the thoughts flow out of my mind,
The difference is I’m doing myself harm,
Not composing a poem, blind...

The line stops, adrenaline is pumping,
That blade was so delicate, like a lover,
But now the pain inside is returning,
All that’s left to do is to carve another,
So I can feel the outside pain, burning...

But when it’s over, and the blood has dried,
I see I’ve just done myself harm,
Writing a poem, that’s what I should have tried,
To prevent the scars on my arm...

Interesting...though I wonder what exactly was going on the moment you wrote this. This was well written and entices me to curiousity. Thanks for sharing.

I really hope and wish that you do not do this. Write poetry it so much helps vent that frustration and anger you have inside. From what you have written, I see you are gifted in being able to express your thoughts well.
If you need someone to talk to, please pm me ok.
May the sun shine brightly for you always.
*heartfelt hugs 4 u*

Another well-written poem, though I wish you'd expand your poetic talents beyond the narrow scope of self-harm poetry.

i agree with you i should have tryed to write a poem when i felt like cutting
i hope you dont cut no more
learn from some one who knows first hand how dangerous it can be
i cut to deep once and almost died
so if you do heres something that everytime i want to i do this
get an ice cub hold it in your hand and squezzzzzzzz as hard as you can hold it there till you cant take the cold then hold it some more
this has helped me stop my urges
i know how hard it is
i am truly sorry that some one is going threww wat i did

Great poem, Can relate completely and understand what can drive people to the tempation of self harm, In place of no other alternative of release.

This is a very deep poem, I am hoping that this poem was written for a reason other than that you accually did this. I dont jump to a conclusion that you did because my poem
"On The Burg Of Doing It" which sould have been On The VERGE Of Doing It" was written because I felt like doing it. Not because I was accually going to do it. Well, Please read some of my poems. Especially ON THE BURG OF DOING IT and UNEXPLAINABLE FEALINGS. Have fun and enjoy oh and please comment on them. Thankz Bye. Oh and I totally forgot to tall you that I loved the poem. Its awesomely written. Bye for now.
