The pain, the heartbreak, the evil grin of fate,
The past, the present, the future, and the heart that is pure,
Each page I turn is another chapter of a soul that burns,

Read on something tells me, read on and know what is to be,
I feel weak, as my blood becomes the ink,
Lives lost is part of the game, the message drives you insane,
Every chapter you read brings you deeper into it's fold, where the soul goes no one knows,

Feel my face and touch the mask, the memories are the reason I wear the cast,
Hide the emotions that bought me here, will the pain stop, that's unclear,
Darkness falls, the body turns cold, feel the embrace of death's call,
Read on if you think your strong, other wise close it now if you wish to be found,

How much more can you take, how much pain before your will breaks,
The room begains to fade as the contact is made,
Signed in blood, the darkness has laid claim to another one,
What can be said of another soul prononce dead,
The sins of this man has caused The Phantom's memories to be damned.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

An engaging piece, I must admit.
A rather dark and anonymous write...complete with lucid, imagary, metaphoric comparisons and a 'mystery letter' -type of theme.

A very detailed work of artistic expression, one of which, rather close to my heart.

Thank you for sharing.

This was an interesting, as well as enjoyable write. Thanks for sharing! I look forward to reading more of your work. This is rare for me to say, by the way.
