I live in my past
You would rather have it sooner
I say, hold up,
Not so fast-
What if we run out of gas
What if the weeds
Morph into the drying grass
Its not you on the line
Its gonna’ be my lazy *’’

You look for composure
I would rather just let it fly
You seek some type of order
Like it’s a rule
You must live before you die
I am of the persuasion
This is the tool
That the solution to the equation
Should be held up high
Taught in school
For all to spy
And sleep with one eye
Open
Praying towards the sky

I am of the belief
Its never enough
A worshiper of the trees
Sometimes the bark gets rough
The going gets tough
And your out of luck
You make a remark
Its your journey to embark
So sail away and never come back
So stay away and halt the attack
And if I fall asleep
Give me a good hard smack
Across the cheek
Across this face
Iv reached the peak
Iv lost this race
Its over
Its was a only a taste

Your signature 'attack' of rhymes is pleasantly spilling out in this piece. Great flow, great thoughts, and I like the way you voiced your concerns. I must say, I think everyone should make it a personal rule to live before they die. No one loses out, but ourselves, if we don't...I disagree with the title too...for sometimes, a taste is all it takes : )
Well done, keep it up.
