Things are not always as they appear to be,
that phrase..the words.. not right for me.

Perhaps things ARE as they appear to be,
our lives, our loves.. as others see.

If this is so, then we master our fate,
we control what enters our gate.

So we tear down the walls, show the world the "me",
then things truly are.. as they appear to be. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 292 [topic] => 21 [informant] => sararose1950 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

...nice little romp through thought...it matters little if things aren't the way they appear, (we perceive them), we base our actions, our feelings on what we have come to trust the most...sight and sound...our sensory input...

...enjoyable...

This is a very profound composition Sara.
We all see things as they appear to us. i.e. our perception at a given moment in time.
But that can change, as we go through life, or rather the many small death we have to go through in order to become the soul we are meant to be.
Your poem is very inspirational.
Thanks a lot Sara for sharing.
Blessings!
Elizabeth

"What you see, is what you get" written more eliquently, by someone lucky enough to find truth in themself. Good show!
