Unlike most children his age, he has just a single bed and wooden chair,

Of which he sits on often, thinking about his mum so brave and strong,

Knowing deep down in his heart, what is happening to her is wrong.

Everyday he asks himself why his mummy’s eyes are always black and bruised,

Although he knows deep down, his mummy is also being badly abused,

He fears his dad’s aggressive, violent and well-used fist,

Since he got the wrong end of it, when his dad was once pi**ed.

Both his mother and he suffer in silence, each night and day,

Wishing that somehow the constant pain will finally go away,

Hoping that it will soon subside into an eternal abyss,

Thus getting rid of his evil father’s perverted bliss.

Every night he cries himself to sleep, only to wake from a horrid nightmare,

His mind full of visions of his mother being badly beaten down stairs,

At school his little mind cannot concentrate at the work in hand,

As last nights nightmare is still in full command.

When nobody is around him, secretly and silently he prays to God above,

“Please Lord Rescue me from this hell, please send me some love”,

He’s so tired and sick of having to cover his every wound, scar and bruise,

No longer can he survive whilst hiding all of the abuse.

The abuse he has suffered throughout his childhood years,

Of which has produced much pain, and many tears,

Everyday his weakened mother and he suffer the immoral violence,

For they are victims of whom have been wrongly silenced.

So as us people of the world have now heard of this,

Let’s get rid of the domestic violence which still exists,

Together we can cure a sufferer’s eternal hurt and pain,

Simply by raising money for local charities and giving them a reason to smile again…

Thank you for speaking up for those that are afraid to!! There are many types of abuse--some more hidden than others--such as mental and emotional abuse--which has it's own form of destruction.

Thanks again!
