Praying for sleep to come, which will make my burden light. Yet as I sleep, I can’t find the dream I dreamed last night. For last night was a different night then tonight. I can’t seem to escape from my nightmare that is giving me such a fright.

I lay still upon my bed all night, eyes wide open, afraid of receiving a vampire’s bite. I plea, I beg, I cry for sleep, but my tears dry quickly in this blistering heat. All I can think of are the women that I once knew. All I can do is lick my wounds upon which they did chew. Like ravaging wolves hungry for their next meal, my heart was ordered for their tender veal.

Tossing, turning, burning with hate, I feel their touch and I foolishly forgive them for being late. I never sensed it coming, couldn’t tell the difference, like a fish swimming for the hook with the fake bait. Hook in my mouth, tried to spit it out, it seems they have sealed my fate.

One by one they took their turn, to step on me, I’m not sure why and I feel really confused, maybe even a little abused. This won’t happen again I swear, as I look at what I’m about to wear. The women I once knew are no longer new, from the past they are, no more feeling do we share.

I laugh as I walk bristly down New York Street. I keep time to the click claps of my feet; I walk keeping time to my beat. My heart is lonely begging for companionship; cold and numb I am to the concept of a relationship. Knock, knock on my mind’s door, an interesting thought comes in. I turn around and go looking for the women I once knew.
