This season’s wardrobe is being aired,
I don’t expect that I’ll be spared
You’ll cast me off, out of fashion,
A new line the focus of your passion.

This years ‘must have’ is next year's rejected,
With you it’s what I should have expected
You tossed me aside like last year’s clothes,
And cast your eyes to the burgeoning rows.

You’re wearing a new love now, on your arms and lips,
Around your shoulders and between your hips
Soon they’ll be forgotten as you shop for the season,
The changing styles just give you the reason.

Remember the days when a pair of jeans
Were only comfortable when worn to the seams
When a classic suit was always in style,
And a change was made only once in a while?

Tastes recycle, rebirthing the past,
What you get away with now won’t last
When fashion outgrows you, don’t reach for the phone,

This season’s wardrobe is being aired,

Clever use of comparison there; praiseworthy, even.
