The Strange But Familiar
Is it alas, a time come again?
Feelings at war, staging battles within.
I weep, might and strength I deny,
Seeing the love from my wife creep by.
As if trying to escape by night,
Keeping true feelings from sight.
I reach forth my hand to hold,
And I see the cracks in this love’s mold.
Where did I make a mistake? My heart blind,
Curiosity feeds the demons that haunt the mind.
So now be it, only the strong survive,
I must bring her to feel alive,
Would we fight for love at any cost?
Or assume that all is lost?
I walk the paths in thought looking for her,
My wife, my love, my friend I see her,
Love flattering without any strings,
This is the Strange But Familiar.
