AHHHH AUTUMN
Like drops of sunshine upon the aspen,
Sunbeam's warmth alter it's tiny leaves,
I watched them fall 'til all was barren,
Slumping with naked limbs, it grieves.
A flash of lingering lightening lit the sky
I saw the sparks of fire it did impose
Elm leaves replaced with fireflies as I stood by
Ahhhhhh Autumn's magical grace bestow.
Autumn's storms nudge small critters
best be gathering while there is still time,
Digging anxiously squirrels find acorn covers
small birds stay--dreaming of springtime.
I recall in my old, but sturdy frame,
all the Autumn's of my life past.
Fall has always set my soul aflame
promises of quiet solitude winter's last.
My life with it's many transformations
colors of lively character and song
Autumn's last fling at youth gladdens
renews my soul--earth is where I belong.

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.

An amazing work of art ConSue.
Bringing vividly to the mind's eye the beauty of autumn, and it's excellence .
Critters gathering in provisions for winter, the glorious colors that abound, but also detach themselves.
It's precisely this detachment and willingness to fade, that promises new life.
Hope yes, and new life, renewal that will not fail. that will be fulfilled.
Medidate on these gripping lines would be so profitable - it is by dying that we enter true and eternal life (St. Francis of Assisi)
Glorious work ConSue
Thanks a lot for composijg and sharing
Warm love
Elizabeth.

Autumn shows beauty, and it marks the time just before the heavens gates open, to renew us there. Who could not love this season, as I get older, I am so much more like Autumn, graceful fall and lift up to a newness. This is gorgeous work, and it fulfills my soul. If one notices the seasons, they will find their seasons in them. God is intelligent, He knows, He teaches us with these seasons, they come for a good reason....

I like to watch the grass grow
Dandilions I don't mind
A cardinal a bluejay
I like your poetry as good as Poe
Nothing pressures as much as time
Relaxing will make a day
I read your poetry and I know
Springtime rain and summer grass
Tomatoes and apples red
Flowers and trees of every hue
Lovingcritters a beautiful lass
So much you offer so much I read
So blessed are we Thanks consue
I can't see the forrest through the beautiful leaves.
You leave a mind at ease
Sinned
