Or beamed down in a shaft of light
Does our angel commute from the heavens
Or perhaps reside here in another dimension
Clad in conventional garb
Or in flowing robes spun of silver and gold
Is my angel a he or a she
Or of some other type of pedigree
How many times have I been saved
From disaster and injury, even death
How do I even know if an angel is really there
I experience no sound or touch as such
First one must believe in God I suspect
Otherwise, what's necessary for the angels to oversee
Indeed, is the only role to protect
Or are they also assigned to take us home at the time of our death
It's comforting to believe we will have an escort
That's one mission where the territory is totally unknown
Where is it the angel and saints would reside
Would they be with God in paradise
Do I have one angel, or two or three
I wonder if they change off, or rotate according to specialities
When I am my own worst enemy
Is my angel there to set me free [comments] => 6 [counter] => 417 [topic] => 49 [informant] => Willofree [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 19 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => mystical )

Well done, Willofree!
This is exactly the kind of pick-me-up that I needed.
It is comforting to believe that someone is always there for you, even if they don't spare you the pain, the angel can SHARE the pain.
Again, I say, well done!

awe, will, this was wonderful. Truly wonderful!
A beautifully penned piece full of ponderings.
I love how this makes me think. There is nothing
like a piece of poetry that flows sweetly and stimulates
your brain too.

Geez..this actually reminds me of something I wrote many, many moons ago, that I had even forgotten. Just the thought process in a way.
I suppose it's something we've all wondered about at one time or another...Good mindspill, and you put it under the perfect topic too : )

You've written about what I so believe in. I do believe we have guardian angels. How many? I guess one will never know. An outstanding and well presented poem. May ur guardian angels always watch over you, Will. Well done.
*hugs*
