Just a few words, but so poignant.
I am sure Postman Pat learned a lesson.

To me it recalls all the wonderful post men that climbed to the highest mountain peaks in the alps to reach the mountain farmers.
Not sure they ran over cats, but over heaps of snow.and other sorts of hurdles.
