I feel trapped underneath my own skin
I should be free
I’m not like them
And so I am forced to believe
That I shouldn’t be who I am
I’m as different as night from day
They’re wood
Hard and unfeeling
I am clay
Soft and willing
Each day they choke me with their hatred
And their greed
Fading my spirit out with every evil deed
They push me to surrender a little bit of me
To push further the boundaries
Of my morality
A battle rages on
One that ends with me forlorn
Suddenly I’m becoming what they are
A change that seems unstoppable
How long before I go too far
One by one the threads of dignity
That hold me back snap
I am exposed to their trap
Soon I will no longer be the woman that I am
I will end up as one of them

Conformity, be who you want to be, if you want to conform do so, but you are your own person, no one can force you to be someone you're not. Great poem.
